Why didn’t I post these pictures earlier? I don’t know. I guess things got busy. For sure dates for Disney World made things pretty exciting around here… at least for me. Getting shirts made, discussing where to eat, which park to go to first. Yes we have another 5 months but there’s lots of planning to be done.

These are pretty much the only pictures from April. Noah turned 4 months and has been the happiest baby. Always smiling and being just as sweet as can be.

He really is such a happy baby.

This is his “I miss Katie” face :)

Yep… This sweet thing is 3 months and is weighing in at 12 lbs 10 oz and he is 23 inches long.

Isn’t this just the sweetest face. He is such a happy baby. He did laugh for the first time on February 22.

Noah has been putting himself to sleep for a while now but just recently started sleeping through the night. About 8:30-6:30 and he wakes up to eat and the goes right back to sleep until about 8:30 or 9:00.

February 23, he rolled over. I’m not sure if it was by accident or on purpose but he did it. Of course I wasn’t here to see it either. For the past couple of week he has been rolling from side to side so I knew it wouldn’t be long before he rolled all the way over.

I was forcing him to sit up for this picture and he started growling/yelling at me.

February 1 Noah turned 2 months.

February 2 Tyler turned 3!

February 14… Valentine’s Day

I mustache you to be mine.

Evan’s valentines he gave to his class.

February 16 Evan turned 5!

Tyler had to help blow out the trick candles :)

He got to wear his hat to school and take cookies to his class. His shirt says “Does this shirt make me look 5?”

He got legos from Grandma & Grandpa, Mom & Dad, and Britney & Clint. Grandpa came over later and gave him a $2 bill that he was super excited about.

Tyler likes to build castles :)

February 22 Austin turned 30! yes 30! And Tyler was upset he had to wait before he could eat the cake.

All we really did for Austin’s birthday was go check on the hotel.  Austin really didn’t want to celebrate :)

I made Evan a Haunted Mansion shirt so he would quit asking for everything else Haunted Mansion. Like for his birthday he asked for a Haunted Mansion cake, Haunted Mansion Legos, & the Haunted Mansion The Game of Life.

Maybe I can keep up with this a little better while your gone Katie. If I know your checking in on it I will keep it up better.

PS to anyone wondering… Katie is in China teaching english

Targeted Ultrasound…

Yesterday was my targeted ultrasound. These are always fun because we get to see what the baby looks like. With Evan the pictures were perfect! They were so clear and he was very cooperative.  With Tyler the pictures were good… not as great as Evan’s but still good. This time… crap. The baby has made himself cozy and would not move. Laying breech, he has his little face hidden in my ribs on the right side. I’ve noticed I’ve only felt him kicking down low on the right side but didn’t think much of it.  So I’ll be going back in a little over a month for another 4D ultrasound so we can get a better look at his face. The tech was nice enough to put in my chart that we couldn’t get a clear view of his heart so that insurance would be ok with covering a second 4D ultrasound.  But as far as we could see with his heart everything checked out good.

And look at that BIG aorta. Nice and even the whole way down! If you don’t know what your looking at it’s the big black candy cane shape. And at the crook part is where Evan has his problem.

Since the baby was hanging out on the right side the tech really didn’t go to the left side to look at anything until about halfway through. Then she did and said “well what do you think of that?” It was so random and she seemed a little more excited than before. My heart dropped… I thought she was pointing out another baby that somehow got missed in the previous 4 ultrasounds. But she was just pointing how he was still a boy  :)

Then we moved around to the rest of his body. Measuring everything and he started showing off for us and flexed his bicep.

We did get one ok picture of the side of his face. He had his little chin resting in his hand.

I’ll be going back around 28 weeks or so.  (I’m almost 24 now) Hopefully he will have moved head down and we can get to see his face better. Until then this is him… who still has no name :)

U Days…

Summer has officially began… at least for us. Even if the weather isn’t quite what it should be. Going to parades always make it feel like Summertime.

Grandpa let Evan ride with him and the rest of the kids in the Uintah Days parade. I think he felt pretty cool.

Tyler hung out with me and watched. He was excited to see everyone in the parade. He kept pointing and jabbering when a “float” came by.

Grandpa took Cade and Evan to go see the Police Officers and they even got to sit on the motorcycle.

And of course the lighting of the “U”.  As if we didn’t have a great view of the “U” already from our back porch, we drove down to Pitcher’s Sports to get a closer look. Evan was pretty excited about it. Every few minutes he’d say “look the letter u… says uh uh”  Then he told me “mom take a picture and lets go home” … It was fairly late and we were all tired.  The whole way home he kept telling us thank you. “banks mom… banks dad”

So yes summer is officially here for our family. We even made our first trip to Lagoon last week.

A World Without Heroes (The Beyonders Series)

Jason Walker has often wished his life could be a bit less predictable—until a routine day at the zoo ends with Jason suddenly transporting from the hippo tank to a place unlike anything he’s ever seen. In the past, the people of Lyrian welcomed visitors from the Beyond, but attitudes have changed since the wizard emperor Maldor rose to power. The brave resistors who opposed the emperor have been bought off or broken, leaving a realm where fear and suspicion prevail.

In his search for a way home, Jason meets Rachel, who was also mysteriously drawn to Lyrian from our world. With the help of a few scattered rebels, Jason and Rachel become entangled in a quest to piece together the word of power that can destroy the emperor, and learn that their best hope to find a way home will be to save this world without heroes.

It took me a LONG time to finish this book. Jason is on this journey to find syllables of this word. So the events seem to repeat themselves. BUT by the time I had finished I realized I couldn’t wait for the second book to come out. Would I recommend this book? Ummm… yes, because it is a good story and I think there is potential in the rest of the series.
